Roberta "Bert" - Mother and Sculpture Artist

Hi, I’m Roberta “Bert” Prostor — the clay‑obsessed artist behind Bert’s Clay Creations here in Phoenix, AZ. I’ve been sculpting for over 40 years, turning polymer clay into whimsical little keepsakes that celebrate life’s best moments: graduations, weddings, new homes, holidays, and all the milestones in between.

As a mom of six, I never run out of inspiration (or chaos). I’m also a licensed Scouting America artist, and many of my designs feature custom graphics thanks to my daughter Virginia, my in‑house graphic designer.

Every piece is handmade, heartfelt, and a little bit quirky — just the way I like it.

"It all began when my mom (Roberta) hit peak ornament overload and recruited me as her unsuspecting sidekick. [Cue reluctant teenager energy.] That first season, I was in charge of packaging, shipping, and tackling the odd tasks no one else wanted. Flash forward: each year, my role snowballed like a snowman rolling downhill. By high school, I was knee-deep in graphic design and throwing out ideas for ornaments featuring these nifty graphics. Little did I know back then, my suggestions would morph into a major part of our ornament collections! Thanks for letting us sprinkle a bit of our creativity into your holidays—we hope every piece feels as personal as it’s meant to!"
