MEET BERT & VIRGINIA

 I’ve been so blessed over the years to be “called to clay" and work in this wonderful medium - polymer clay. I currently live in the beautiful southwest - Phoenix, Arizona. My whimsical style is unique and I concentrate solely on custom sculptures, ornaments, figurines and cake toppers. Bert's Clay Creations is currently licensed with American Heritage Girls and Boy Scouts USA.

I have had no formal art instruction, but have relied on my God-given gift and imagination, combined with observation and experimentation. Family life has had a profound influence and inspiration to my design work. Raising 6 children with my husband Eric has given me many opportunities to experience life at it's fullest! I look at clay as an opportunity to bring joy to others with a creation that is all their own. People ask me how did you stay sane raising six children and I say I had clay!

It all started years ago when my mom (Roberta) became overwhelmed with orders and asked for my help. [Reluctantly] I helped package, ship, and do small tasks around the studio that season. Slowly, each year my part in the workspace became more and more important. Through high school, I became engrossed in graphic design and began suggesting ways my mom could create ornaments with these special graphics included. Little did I know then that these graphics would become such an integral part of our ornament collections! I hope you enjoy the personal touch we strive to give each and every one of our ornaments, as they are 100% unique to you!
